Understanding Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a silent condition that weakens bones and increases the risk of fractures. It is often called the “invisible disease” because bone loss happens without symptoms and is often discovered after a fracture occurs.

While it can affect both men and women, it is especially common in postmenopausal women due to a drop in estrogen, a hormone essential for bone strength.
